Dear Fellow Covilleans,
Just a thought to share Words Of Wisdom from wise men/women of the past and present.
I will be doing this on a regular basis. Do drop by and share your thoughts and beliefs. Let us enlighten one another.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

A Very Good And Blessed Morning, fellow Covilleans
THOUGHT OF THE DAY
"When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn".

A Very Cheerful Morning fellow Covilleans,
I want to share this warm, glowing feeling with the world.
It was Sat last, 27 Sept to be exact. I was leaving Covillea after attending to some hiccups to my unit and head towards a committed job.
The entrance to the building and the car park is obscure and the path that leads there is oblivious to the untrained eye.
With MRT works, new buildings mushrooming, temporary realignment of roads/paths it didn't look like the same place I had been several months before. The haze added to the confusion. I realized I was lost. I stopped my car.
Some 100 yards ahead, a car was driving slowly, paused for a while and then it also stopped.
An Indian girl alighted and walked towards me.
I thought to myself, "If you are asking for directions, I am as lost as you are".
She came to my car window and her first question was, "Auntie, is this the first time you are driving".
I was taken aback. Do I give that impression when I drive.
After assuring her it wasn't she continued. "Then are you having engine troule?"
"My brother and I noticed that you suddenly stopped your car and this is a very dangerous spot. If so, we want to see whether we can help you".
My heart melted.
When I told my destination is a particular building, she informed me I had missed it. But I could take a U-turn which is quite far away. "We can take you there. Just follow our car".
The two siblings went out of their way to help me reach my destination without mishap.
My heart is full of gratitude. Two complete strangers going out of their way to help a fellow traveler in life's journey. God Bless You Both wherever you are.
Most important of all is the lesson you taught me.
"Kindness is a language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see".
GOD BLESS YOU BOTH WHEREVER YOU ARE.

At 19 months she contracted a fever that left her blind, deaf and mute.
But no adversity could stop her.
Known around the world as a symbol of courage in the face of overwhelming odds, she was much more than a symbol.
She began to speak at the age of 10.
By 20 she entered Radcliffe College; graduating 4 years later with a Bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude.
Winning numerous honors, including honorary university degrees, the Lions Humantarian Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and election to the Women's Hall of Fame and during her lifetime, she was consistently ranked near the top of "most admired" lists.
Aptly in her own words:
"One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar". -HELEN KELLER
And what is your say as able-bodied men and women, fellow Covilleans? Can we be more?
