For those of us who are free, perhaps can go along with them to see for ourselves the defects that are to be rectified.
Afterall as owners we have vested interests too.
Any one coming?

Hi Chinmi and jsf,
Is it possible to negotiate to have the date change to weekend? I believe that most of the people are working and couldn't attend the session.

I also support the change of date if possible as I will be away this week. Thanks!

Hi Isaac and Tsubasa,
I guess this could be a preliminary round.
Need to ask Chairman and/or JMB what it is all about and how we can contribute as owners.
In my previous stay at the condo in PJ we always have get-togethers of owners and we always celebrate all festivals.
Chinese New Year is just round the corner and as far as I know most condos have celebrated CNY much to the enjoyment of everyone.
We have missed Christmas celebration, Thaipusam. How about Chinese New Year? Looks like all gloom and doom, not even a flicker of decoration. Odd.

Hello jsf,
I was told by management they already purposed to have a small CNY gathering. The problem is not everyone is willing to fork out RM10.
I personally also feel that it would be very good to have such event so that we can get to know each other in person which helps to build a better community.

Perhaps we can have a new thread just for celebration of CNY 2014?

Hi Isaac,
No one has mentioned about the CNY celebration. I didn't get news about that from the management either.
Hi Chinmi, Yes, we should start a new thread for the CNY celebrations.
I feel too close to CNY to get things going.
How about Chap Goh Mei instead?

Hi Isaac,
I reflected on the issue of forking out RM10/- towards the CNY celebrations.
I do not know how many owners are aware that the management is having a gathering for CNY.
How does the management disseminate information to owners?
I guess owners are willing to fork out not because of RM10/-. It probably was on the matter of principle.
Aren't we all paying a hefty sum towards maintenance?
And no celebration had been held so far.

Hi Jsf,
I am not really sure actually, maybe management discussed that with the committee? Do you know what is the common practice by other condo for get together party?

Hi Isaac,
I fully agree that it is very good to get to know one another in person to build a better community.
What is practised in other condos is the management undertakes to organize the celebrations, set up in terms of table and seating arrangement and food/beverages. If the owners want to add on to the food, they are free to bring a dish or two. In condos that have shops, the shop owners sponsor some items.
What are the further developments of the small gathering for CNY? I still have not heard of it yet though CNY is just 5 days away.
