Encountered 2 ridiculous incidents just today. This morning, we have a selfish and ignorant youth (with broken English) claiming to be resident who tries to move in with big items on a lorry. He claims people are rude but he was very loud and tries to force his way in unsuccessfully. He ended up taking the things using his car putting into his back boot and taking rounds of trips to move his stuff, resulting in hogging of lifts when moving up to 20th floor.
Later of the day, the pool had another group of youths (multiple races). One of the youth pushed a fully clothed lady with high-heels into the pool. She was of course invited out of the pool from the guards, thank you to the timely manner from the guards. Then there was another man who was invited out of the pool by the guards of improper swimming attire. Because of that, he pulled off his pants and his underwear just to retaliate? I don't know but he is fat and with all those 'access' that he has, he is better off fully-clothed. My bet, these youths are either spoilt by their parents or never received any proper educations.
We seems to be having a lot of irresponsible, ignorant, selfish and low-class people around Covillea. Good luck to us all.

A couple times in Oct 2013 i had to call up the security at 02:00am (very early morning) during the weekdays due to the noise of people laughing and yelling. It came form bunch of middle east people staying in unit A-11-07. They are used to hang around in their unit with open windows until the morning.
Now they still do it once in in a while, but with a bit reduced volume. But if one day it goes too far, it will be the day for me to whack them.

Please try to let the guards handle it, it's their job. If you handled it, you might get into trouble as they are quite rough. Mr. Quah from the committee member needs to be voted out in my honest opinion. This is because in regards to the naked man incident in the post above, he said it is okay as opposed to other committee members saying that this can be reported to the police. It is a crime for indecent exposure in Malaysia, like those flashers. There was another owner who tried to move in today from block B-10-02. Khairul from the management office gave JMB secretary Ms. Tan's number and the guards are not firm enough so the owner, named Raymond called her for exception. She refused as that is the rules for standard condo and he told her to be careful and gave her death threats. I honestly think she should make a police report. The owner yesterday, who the committee found out to be resident also gave her death threat. I think maybe we have a lot of gangster here in Covillea.

Yes, I agree with Chinmi. Leave it to the guards and see whether they can do something about it.

Thanks Chinmi for keeping us all in the know as well as being forthright.
Ms Tan took the right stand in ensuring that rules and regulations must be adhered to. If there is no enforcement, rules and regulations become null and void.
As fellow owners let us share our thoughts, provide suggestions to ensure that undesirable incidents are not repeated in future. Let us help and take care of one another. We are in the same boat.
Ms Tan is no ordinary owner. She has taken a pride of place as our honorary Secretary in the JMB. She accepted the post with all sincerity when she was elected into the JMB. Why is she subject to threats from a fellow owner? She was only doing what was right, for the good of all so that no exception becomes a precedent. Why is a male flexing his muscles against a female?
Are we breeding this sort of culture into Covillea?

Wow, I missed out this thread. Didn't know such things happened.
Okay, I would like to share out some of my opinions on the above 2 incidents in particular: 1) Naked man incident - I strongly thinks that there is a triggering factor that resulted such obscene impulsive reaction from the person. From the experience I’ve had dealt with our security personnel, sorry to speak biasedly I cannot help but pictured how rudely they must have requested the man with improper swimwear to leave the pool. If they have been able to instruct the person with proper manners, I strongly doubt the man would have reacted so ridiculously. First of all, many people also do not understand what is the reason behind that one must wear proper swimwear in swimming pool instead of just normal cotton clothing. If only the guards were able to tell them that the cotton from their normal clothing would get sucked and jammed the filter mechanism in the pool, I doubt it would have cause such commotion. A lot of people, tend to react very harshly if you force them to follow the rules that they do not understand the reason behind. Of course, the man is also wrong to have such little control on his emotion. But I’m just describing how such incident can occur and whats best action to take to prevent this from happening in future.
2) Owner who tried to move in during non moving hours? For this one, I don’t see why we should restrict people from moving on even Sundays? I’m not sure if I’ve mistaken, I thought the rule book only states we can’t be doing drilling/knocking/renovation works on those hours only. I don’t see why for us those that have moved in earlier to act like such big bullies to those that has yet to move in. Is other people moving some tables and chairs or beds will cause such inconvenience or headaches to you on weekends? Can’t we all be more friendly people, to walk over to those new neighbours and say hello? Or even offer our helping hand, if say they need a wet cloth, a broom stick or to carry just some stuff? Why do we have to be so selfishly protecting the rules acting so coldly to our new neighbours? If really so that the new neighbours created some unbearable noise during the movement of the furnitures, we can also walk up to them and try to talk nicely to them! We don’t always need to resort to laws and authority for every inconveniences we face right? What are we? Some communists demagogues? Yes, I have a neighbour above my unit, which their children always running and jumping in the house, I have walked to their unit and greet them, now at least we know each other, and the noise have since become much lesser. See, isn’t it better than resorting to authorities and rules & regulation all the time? We can even get to make new friends! Of course, if worse comes to worst, they still make unbearable noise, oh yes, then we can request the guards to be there. But to always just stand firmly to the law, I don’t agree, we are not living in a prison for god’s sake. It is a CONDOMINIUM for crying out loud.
I hope we can live more harmoniously by respecting each other than always just resolving matters through rules & regulations.

Rules are rules and must be followed. Moving in can hogged lifts and awaken those light sleepers who are resting peacefully in the early morning. I waited 10 mins for a lift one time because a family is moving in on weekends. On other condo, moving in big items even need letter approval of management. Why? Because it could bump and scratch walls and lifts and cause inconvenience to those maintening the condo. Those dirts and marks and bumps, who but those cleaners during working hours doing it. Please think as a community rather than own convenience. And because perhaps of these selfish people that Ms. Tan's tyre was slashed this morning. As simple as not crossing the road while it is red. No cars, but shouldn't cross. Why? For the convenience of those drivers to pass by the road with ease. Most Malaysians follow this? No. That is why for green at my own lane, I still need to slow down to see if anything is rushing pass red lights. I was sadly around when the incident of naked man happened. The guard was okay, just say you can't swim with that material, the foreigner just stripped. What did the guard do after that? Trying to cover him up. I swim regularly and which is why there were just too many incidents that I am too tired to type here to share. Yes, it is good to help others but do stop for a while and think of the rest. And not to be forgotten the cleaners who have wipe the lift and floor for a quiet weekend for others.

One more thing though, there are still people who attempt to swim after 10 pm. They may think that they are very quiet but they are not because the design of the condo is 'rounded' that sounds are amplified. In a quiet night, splashes of water or whispers can even be heard for those units facing the swimming pool. I was waken up way too often by these people who think that they are very quiet. Think that you are not disturbing others? Think again. You may not need to wake up early and hence sleeping late, but they are people who wakes up early and hence goes to bed early. So that is why, if we do think of others seriously, the rules are staying.

I cant swim today because there are a bunch of so called students who are rough people. This is because they have been smoking continuously despite asked not to by the guards twice. They are smoking non stop and some of their friends are using the pool loudly with lots of foul words exchanged. Doesnt seem like there is hope that these jerks will leave the pool that soon. We need stronger guards who wont get bullied by these jerks. By the way, they lodged a complaint to the management stating why they cant smoke.

If people who do not like rules, maybe they should move to landed property. Everywhere there are rules:house, schools, places of worship, work places, government buildings, countries, etc. Rules are man-made so there will be order and conformity. There are not meant to be broken just because some people do not like to follow. Yesterday, there was a gang of students who smoked and were told by guards nicely not to. They smoked defiantly for hours at pool till they left. Clearly there are three signboards stating no smoking. This kind of behavior is disrespectful. Must we tolerate rowdy ways in our condo. What about they start to do worst? Dim i mention they were drinking beer. Even prisons have rules and this is not a prison but a place where people want to live peacefully
