kind of agree too, they just installed few speed bumps without first getting the consent of the residents in a carpark that is already so inconvenient where some have to climb more than 10 ramps to their parking lot. no smoking for all areas, and etc. wonder what they going to do next? must be proper attire when walking around the compound of the condo?

hi all, just a suggestion, can we have a discussion, complaint, chit/chat at the facebook instead of this forum? I really appreciate and thankful for the members here that have been working very hard to set up this forum. But I believe since most of us are using facebook actively, so i am thinking if our covillea forum using facebook will be more happening, more responds, and quick responds. just a suggestion

I fully agree. Communication is vital. Facebook is the norm; for speed, for connectivity. I am all for this idea.

I don't use facebook so it's not a norm. Also this forum also only has minorities inside. It doesn't represent a majority of voices. A lot of families don't have time to go thru these kind of virtual society. While people complaint about speed bumps, most welcome it because it makes it much safer for small children. Why can't smoke at swimming pool? Children plays there. U may be conplaining but research shows clear evidence, second hand smoke kills others faster, moreover children. So again, before u complain about rules, think again about others. Stop being so selfish that obey rules as u see fit or break it as u find convenient. Maybe breaking rules look cool or make u feel like a boss, but honestly, u are a nuisance to others.

yeah..i totally support the speed bumps implemented. as it may reduce the 'crazy speeding driver' in the condo parking area.

I'm not sure how to go about it, but will be great if management can think of improving the empty lobby space....

anyone can advise me who and how do mgmt came out with all these new rules recently implemtented ? why visitors only allow to park for 4hrs? why owner have to pre register visitors with name ic vehicle no etc in advance with mgmt just to hav overnight stay ? advance registration for minor renovation or aircon servis or delivery of small furniture or even tesco not allowed during weekends...food delivery need to be collected at lobby ... owners only allowed to park at visitor parking for mere 10min and nothing more... i understand tht there always one or two irresposible n inconsiderate owners/tenants who abuse these facilities but does anyone found these new rules 'inconvenient' or ridiculous? its like living in jail and sometime really troublesome ...tried talking to the office mgr and only answer i got is "why dont you come to agm in 6mths time and suggest whatever you wanted" ....

Hi Xelanat,
I have the same doubts as you:-
1. why visitors only allow to park for 4hrs? Maybe they should first focus to identify fake visitors (tenant without car park, contractors and etc) instead of limiting the genuine visitors.
2. why owner have to pre register visitors with name ic vehicle no etc in advance with mgmt just to hav overnight stay ? True, what if we have relatives or friends planning to stay overnight on Sunday night itself? Management office is not open on Sunday. What can we do? Ask our guest to park at the road side even there are plenty of parking space in the condo?
3. advance registration for minor renovation or aircon servis or delivery of small furniture or even tesco not allowed during weekends Tesco delivery is not allowed during weekends!? I think this is a bit too much and ridiculous. I think small and light items delivery should be allowed as long as it doesn't caused any inconvenience to other tenants.
4. food delivery need to be collected at lobby I think this can be further improved by asking the security guard to follow the food delivery man to the house. This has been the practice for some of the Condo as far as I know.
5. owners only allowed to park at visitor parking for mere 10min and nothing more No comment on this. But if all owners parked at visitor parking, then visitors might have parking problem as they are very limited. This can be further discussed to fine tune the rule.
6. tried talking to the office mgr and only answer i got is "why dont you come to agm in 6mths time and suggest whatever you wanted" Unfortunately yes, the work attitude of new management should be further improved. One thing i realized that they will have lots of excuses when we made a complain. I feel that the previous management is far better than the current one. At least they are responsible and responsive.

Ooh..this is bad, especially hearing the Para. 6 on the management. I think they are trying their best to upkeep this place nice and cosy.
I think rules can be set with good rationale and logic. There are some good points taken from Tomoko. I also get my groceries etc. through Tesco and I cannot imagine that they cannot enter during weekends - it's delivery, not renovation or installation.
My lunch time is also a mere short 1 hour and car park is high up. So by the time I drive up and down, it would have easily taken me 10 minutes (and petrol of course). At this time, I don't see the car park being fully utilised during my lunch hour anyway, and it's weird if I (as an owner) have to park outside and the visitors get to park inside...
Hmm......

One other thing.. The carpark sticker rule with clamping RM. 100/day is such a waste. As long as we park on our parking spots, we don't cause trouble to anyone else. If someone parks on your parking spot, just get the security to clamp that car. So easy it is. The rule doesn't make sense because anyway we already got access cards.
Beside that, i don't want to put any sticker on my windscreen that tells where i live and work, it is for security reason.

yeah, exactly. Who do they(the committee) think they are to set the penalty at any amount as they wish? Even shopping complex, they only charge RM50. This is insane.
